"A delightful combination of Derren Brown, Vic Reeves and Doctor Who."

Bring your event to life with the quirkily sophisticated mind reader, magician and humourist Laurence Moreland. Known to many as Booker Prize nominated author Daren King, Laurence can entertain and delight your guests with subtle sleight-of-hand magic, psychological mind reading ("like that Derren Brown off the telly!") or a combination of the two, as you prefer.

Silk hankies are tied together, the knot is proven to be both fair and tight, yet the moment the hankies are placed in the participant's hands, the knot melts away. A signed photograph is ripped up, then mystically restored. Playing cards rise impossibly to the top of the deck, and silver coins vanish in mid air.

Laurence's mind reading puts the focus on the spectator. Your guests will find themselves transmitting images and numbers, and knowing things that they cannot possibly know.
Laurence is an experienced stage performer, having performed regularly as a storyteller on London's literary scene throughout the 2000s, as a stand-up comic at clubs including the Celler Door in London's West End, and, more recently, with comedy cabaret act Cate Mackenzie and the Love Fairies. He can frequently be seen performing his pocket miracles as a walkaround warm-up act at Freddie Valentine and Holly Blue's outrageous variety show The Karnival of Kitsch at London's Royal Vauxhall Tavern.

Book Laurence for your stage show, private party or corporate event today, or email "the man himself" for a chat. He's not big headed, despite being more magical than Gandalf.
